Who we are
World Adventurer Magazine is published as a service to clients and suppliers of Adventure Associates Pty Ltd, Australia’s first and longest established tour operator to the Antarctic and South America.
Begun in 1973 by Dennis Collaton, Adventure Associates aims to create enriching and challenging travel products by opening new and sometimes overlooked travel destinations. In more than thirty years of continuous operation, Adventure Associates can claim many firsts and ‘pioneering’ moments, including travel and group tours to the North Pole, Madagascar, Bhutan, Cuba, many small South American countries as well as remote polar islands and locations such as Wrangel Island, Campbell Islands and Spitsbergen.
Today Adventure Associates enjoy an enviable reputation of supplying quality, thoroughly researched and time-tested itineraries to some of the world’s most pristine and least visited wilderness areas. Together with Traveline, a full service retail travel agency, Adventure Associates can tailor the most demanding itineraries for the modern ‘world adventurer’.
