Make History with Adventure Associates - again!

IPY

It’s not very often we get the chance to create truly historic expeditions anymore. It seems we’ve already done it all! In over fifteen years at the very forefront of polar travel, Adventure Associates’ clients have had the chance to be part of history on numerous occasions:

• Furthest south by ship (January 2006) – a world record
• First Australian tourists to the North Pole
• First Australians tourists to circumnavigate Antarctica

So, it excites every fibre within me when I get the opportunity to announce another truly historic expedition.

In August 2007, as part of the International Polar Year, we will launch one of our most ambitious expeditions ever, that being to reach the northernmost point of land on Earth!

Not satisfied with that meagre attempt, we’ll also step ashore in the company of a genuine polar explorer, Ken Zerbst, with the aim of hiking to the summit of the northernmost mountain on Earth.

All this is part of our soon-to-be announced, Greenland Odyssey, a 20-day expedition that will explore the very seldom visited eastern coast of Greenland en route to enigmatic Oodaaq Island, where even now in this age of Global Positioning and Satellite Mapping, new islands are still being discovered.

Needless to say, this voyage will fill almost as soon as it is announced, so I urge you to take advantage of this very special pre-release offer and get your deposit to us immediately. Please see the attached proposed itinerary for more details of expedition.

Yours in adventure,

Dennis Collaton
